Ellie Jane Goulding born 30th December 1986, Hereford England. Her mother Tracey Goulding-Summers was employed at a supermarket and the father Arthur Goulding was a member of the family known as an undertaker. Goulding has three children: A sister Isabel whom is more senior, and a brother Alex and another sister Jordan. Alex and her brother are a bass player as well as a Hereford Band members. In her early years, his mother encouraged the young woman to take up music. She began learning to play the clarinet at the age of nine. After she turned 14, Goulding began writing lyrics. Lillywhite later introduced her to producer Starsmith who assisted her to make her debut single Under the Sheets on November 15th, 2009. Starsmith then collaborated on Lights which was her debut album. She signed with Polydor Records even though Under the Sheets had been released by the label that was independent Neon Gold Records.
